This weekend we headed down to DC to visit friends and see some cherry blossoms. It was great to get out of town and away from the noise and hustle of the city. I haven't been out of Brooklyn since November, so it was weird, but good to be somewhere a little quieter. Thanks to the never ending winter, the cherry blossoms are a little slow to bloom, so we were about a week too early to see them. The wind was brisk on Saturday, so we took a quick walk around the Tidal Basin and I snapped a few photos, but there weren't too many flowers to see. Mainly, it was great to get out of the city, see a few signs of the coming spring, and catch up with old friends. We really can't wait to go back when its just a little warmer!
