A couple weeks ago, I headed east of Raleigh to meet Katherine & Daniel in Katherine's hometown of Wendell for their engagement session. Even though its only a short drive from Raleigh, I'd never been to Wendell, but after Katherine & her parents took me around town to a few different spots for the session, I started to miss my own small home town.
We started out the session at Lake Myra, which has an awesome abandoned storefront and gorgeous trees! I love the vintage look of the shots we took here, so I added just a little something extra to some of these.
After that we headed to Katherine's parent's house, who were sweet enough to break out some awesome props - an old quilt, awesome radio, and a beautiful stained glass window that has some very important significance to their family.
Just to add a little more variety to the shot we headed over to a gorgeous field, right as the sun came out. I absolutely LOVE the shots of Katherine and Daniel all snuggled up in the quilt.
I had THE best time at this shot and absolutely loved meeting Katherine's Mom and Dad and her maid of honor, Meredith! Thank you all so much for the hospitality! Congratulations, Katherine & Daniel, I absolutely cannot wait for your wedding - its going to be even more gorgeous that this session!
